The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has felicitated Muslims across the local government, Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Maulud Nabiyu celebration.
In a goodwill message signed by Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Head of Media to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Olufade described the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as an important opportunity for Muslims to reflect on his exemplary life, teachings and virtues.
The chairman urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings, particularly his virtues of love, compassion, humility, patience, justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Olufade noted that the principles demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to promoting peace, unity and sustainable development in communities and the nation.

He called on residents of Ibadan North to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and care for the less privileged, irrespective of religious, ethnic or social differences.
The council chairman also prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity in Ibadan North, Oyo State and Nigeria, while asking Almighty Allah to grant the local government greater development and sustainable progress.
He further prayed for stability, good governance, lasting peace, unity, security and economic prosperity across Nigeria, urging citizens to remain hopeful and committed to building a better society.
Olufade wished Muslims across Ibadan North, Oyo State and Nigeria a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, praying that Allah accepts their prayers and acts of worship and continues to strengthen the bonds of unity among residents.
