Ib’North Chair, Olufade Donates Motorcycle to Amotekun Corps

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has donated a brand-new motorcycle to the Oyo State Amotekun Corps in Ward 5, Alagbagba, Olona Mosque axis, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots security and protect lives and property.

 

 

The motorcycle was presented on behalf of the chairman by the Head of Local Government Administration, Deacon Olabode Ajebisi. In a statement signed by the Head of Media to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, the donation is aimed at improving the operational efficiency and rapid response of the security outfit.

 

 

Ajebisi said the intervention reflects Hon. Olufade’s commitment to supporting security agencies with the necessary tools to effectively discharge their duties, noting that peace and security remain vital to sustainable community development.

 

 

He commended the Amotekun Corps for its professionalism, dedication and efforts in maintaining law and order, assuring the officers of the local government’s continued partnership in promoting peace and security.

 

 

Receiving the motorcycle, officers of the Amotekun Corps expressed appreciation to the council chairman, describing the donation as timely and impactful in strengthening security operations within Ward 5 and neighbouring communities.

 

 

The officers said the motorcycle would significantly improve patrol activities and emergency response, pledging to use it solely for security operations and to remain committed to protecting lives and property.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the member representing Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke Comforter, alongside party leaders, government officials and community stakeholders.

 

 

Other dignitaries present included the Chief of Staff to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Hamdy Mustafa; Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu; and several PDP leaders, supervisory councillors and senior local government officials.
