The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, is set to receive the Oyo State APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, popularly known as Bimadec, during a “Thank You Visit” to the Ibadan South West/North West Federal Constituency at Jogor Centre.
The event is expected to attract party leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, youth groups and women leaders from the 23 wards across Ibadan South West and Ibadan North West Local Government Areas.
Hon. Akande, alongside other party leaders and government officials, will officially welcome Adekanmbi and his entourage, describing the visit as a demonstration of the party’s appreciation for the loyalty and commitment of its grassroots members.
According to the council chairman, the visit underscores the All Progressives Movement’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with members at the ward level and recognizing their contributions to the party.
Party sources disclosed that the visit is aimed at appreciating members for their dedication while also mobilising and consolidating the party’s support base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Adekanmbi is expected to address party faithful on the APM’s vision for Oyo State, with emphasis on grassroots development, youth empowerment, quality healthcare and improved education.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Adekanmbi said the programme would provide an opportunity to thank party supporters and reaffirm the party’s commitment to building an inclusive platform that listens to the needs of the grassroots.
APM leaders in the constituency expressed confidence that the visit would further unite members, strengthen the party structure ahead of 2027 and feature goodwill messages, prayers for the party’s success and peace and progress in Oyo State.
