In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah on witnessing the Festival of Sacrifice and prayed for long life, good health and prosperity for the faithful.

Governor Makinde called on Muslims to intensify prayers for Oyo State, Nigeria and leaders at all levels, while also seeking divine intervention in the ongoing efforts to rescue abducted teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

The governor further urged residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious during and after the Sallah celebration, noting that the country continues to face security challenges such as banditry and kidnapping. He reassured citizens of his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property while sustaining efforts toward economic growth and development across Oyo State.
