The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, has inspected the newly completed 2.45km Aleshinloye/Golden Tulip/Foodco Jericho Junction road within the council area.

Speaking during the tour, Akande said the local government is replicating Governor Seyi Makinde’s development drive at the grassroots. He noted that residents deserve quality infrastructure to ease movement, boost commerce, and improve living standards.

The Chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality of work delivered on the 2.45km stretch. He described the road as a critical commercial corridor linking Aleshinloye Market through Golden Tulip to Foodco at Jericho Junction, serving thousands daily.

Akande commended the Works Department for its supervision and diligence on the project. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure renewal across the local government.

He stressed that more inner-city roads will receive attention under his watch, in line with Governor Makinde’s roadmap for accelerated development. According to him, the era of abandoned projects is over.
