The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has donated a brand-new power generating set to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office located within The Polytechnic, Ibadan, to improve the commission’s operations and service delivery.

The generator was presented on behalf of the chairman by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Hamdy Mustapha, during a ceremony attended by local government officials and NIMC management representatives. The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Head of Media to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola.

Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Mustapha commended the NIMC management and staff for their efforts in providing identity registration and related services to Nigerians.

He noted that the NIMC office at The Polytechnic serves thousands of students as well as a large population of residents who depend on the centre for National Identification Number (NIN) registration and other identity management services.

According to him, Hon. Olufade approved the donation to address power supply challenges that often disrupt operations, thereby enabling officials to carry out their duties more effectively and efficiently.

Mustapha said the chairman recognises the strategic importance of NIMC’s services and remains committed to supporting institutions that provide essential services to residents of Ibadan North whenever necessary.
