The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, has congratulated the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) consensus Chairmanship candidate for Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Saheed Abimbola Oladimeji Owonifaari, on his emergence.
Hon. Akande described Owonifaari as a sincere, committed, and dependable politician with the capacity to deliver meaningful development at the grassroots level.
Speaking during a congratulatory visit on Tuesday, the council chairman said the consensus process that produced Owonifaari reflects the unity, maturity, and strength of the APM in Ibadan.
He expressed confidence that the chairmanship candidate would uphold the party’s values and work towards improving the lives of residents through effective grassroots governance.
According to Akande, Owonifaari possesses the leadership qualities needed to align with the developmental vision of Governor Seyi Makinde and ensure that government dividends reach the people.
The Ibadan South West chairman also appealed to party leaders, aspirants, and members in Ibadan South East to remain united and work together to secure victory for APM in the forthcoming local government elections.
He stressed that unity within the party is essential for sustaining the developmental achievements recorded in Oyo State and strengthening governance at the local level.
The visit was attended by party leaders, members, and supporters from Ibadan South East, who offered prayers and goodwill messages while expressing optimism for APM’s success in the upcoming elections.
