Social Democratic Party, SDP, Presidential candidates, Mr. Adewole Adebayo, has charged eligible voters to treat 2027 ballot as a referendum on survival and elect a leader capable of securing the country.
Mr. Adebayo, gave the charge while SDP national leaders paid a solidarity visit on the bandits attack at Oriire local government area, to Governor Seyi Makinde at his office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The 2027 President candidate said the trip was to sympathize with the people of communities reeling from insecurity and to apologize on behalf of President Bola Tinubu’s government’s failure in his primary duty.
He accused President Tinubu of sitting on top of heavy security vote while using assets to destabilize political parties instead of applying it for the armed forces to secure the country.
Mr. Adebayo, expressed confidence that Nigeria’s armed forces are capable of not only defending Nigeria but the entire West Africa if only they had a commander-in-chief who can lead them.
While charging Nigerians to prioritize their safety and competence in the next election and get rid of President Tinubu’s government, he dismissed one-man rule as grossly incompetent and distracted.
Leadership of the party on the solidarity trip were led by the National Chairman, Prof Sadiq Gombe.
