The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Oyo State Chapter, has mobilised its Ibadan zonal coordinators ahead of the second edition of its Youth Leadership Summit scheduled to hold in 2026.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Oyo State Youth Development Agency Conference Hall, Secretariat, Ibadan, brought together NYC coordinators across the Ibadan Zone to deliberate on preparations for the summit.
The session focused on effective mobilisation, programme planning, stakeholder engagement and strategies to ensure that the forthcoming summit is impactful, inclusive and beneficial to young people across Oyo State.
Addressing the coordinators, the NYC Oyo State Chairman, Comrade Adeyemi Abdulfatai Olagbenro, popularly known as LEGACY, appreciated the various Local Government Coordinators for their cooperation and commitment to grassroots mobilisation.

Olagbenro described the dedication of the coordinators as crucial to the stability and effectiveness of the youth organisation across the state. He urged them to sustain their commitment as preparations intensify for the summit.
The NYC chairman also commended the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Adebowale Falana, for what he described as his efforts towards promoting youth unity and prioritising the welfare of young people in the state.
According to him, Falana’s leadership has strengthened collaboration between youth structures and government while creating greater opportunities for youth-focused development across Oyo State.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the NYC leadership and its coordinators to deliver a well-organised and inclusive 2026 Youth Leadership Summit. The organisation said the composition of the planning committee for the summit would be unveiled to the public in due course.
