The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced a profit after tax of ₦7.2 trillion for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, representing a 33 per cent increase from the ₦5.4 trillion recorded in 2024.

The company disclosed this in its audited financial results released following its Annual General Meeting and second Earnings Call with financial and business analysts. The results, according to NNPC, reflect the company’s growing earnings capacity, improved operational performance and stronger platform for future growth.

NNPC Ltd. also reported ₦34.5 trillion in revenue for the 2025 financial year, highlighting the scale of its operations and financial performance during the period.

The company said its 2025 performance was supported by increased operational momentum, with crude oil production reaching multi-year highs. The improved production performance is expected to strengthen the company’s capacity to generate revenue and contribute more significantly to Nigeria’s energy sector.

As part of the financial results, NNPC Ltd. declared a ₦5.8 trillion dividend, underscoring the company’s strong earnings position and its contribution to government revenues.

The latest figures represent a significant improvement over the previous financial year, when NNPC recorded a profit after tax of ₦5.4 trillion. The 33 per cent growth means the company added approximately ₦1.8 trillion to its profit within one year.
