The Youth Mobilisation Team of the Governor Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi campaign has taken its grassroots consultation to Elebu and adjoining communities in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, recording a large turnout of youths and community stakeholders.
The consultation was led by the Director of the Youth Mobilisation Directorate, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, who engaged youths in discussions aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation and seeking support for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The youths welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with the campaign team. They also presented their concerns and requests, while identifying areas where further government interventions could improve the wellbeing of residents.
The participants commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for what they described as various developmental projects across Oyo State. They particularly acknowledged the improvement and facilitation of the Elebu road, which they said had eased transportation and movement within the community.

The youths also appreciated the Chairman of Ido Local Government for his role in facilitating the road project, noting its positive impact on residents and other road users in the area.
Responding, Bolarinwa thanked the youths and residents of Elebu and neighbouring communities for their continued support for the Makinde administration. He explained that the consultation was not solely about politics but also about listening to people at the grassroots, understanding their needs and building stronger relationships.
Bolarinwa, however, urged the youths to reciprocate what he described as the developmental strides of the Makinde administration by supporting APM candidates, particularly the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi. He assured them that Adekanmbi would build on the achievements of the present administration if elected.
He urged the youths to remain united, mobilise their peers and actively participate in the electoral process, stressing that their support would be crucial to the success of the APM in 2027. The meeting ended with renewed engagement, as youths in attendance expressed their readiness to work with the mobilisation team and support the party’s candidates.
