The Director of Youth Mobilisation for the Adekanmbi/Makinde Campaign, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, has intensified his grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, taking the campaign for greater youth participation and mobilisation to the Man O’ War organisation in Oyo State.
Bolarinwa and members of the youth mobilisation team were received by the leadership of Man O’ War during a consultative meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration and securing wider support for the gubernatorial ambition of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The meeting was attended by the Oyo State Commandant of Man O’ War, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman Olanrewaju; the South-West Regional Commander, ANC Ayoade Adeoye; the PRO/Assistant Man O’ War Commander, Adebiyi Ademiluyi, popularly known as Ijoba, and other members of the organisation.
Speaking at the meeting, Olanrewaju appreciated the campaign team for reaching out to Man O’ War, describing the engagement as an opportunity to build stronger understanding and cooperation. He assured the team of the organisation’s readiness to support Adekanmbi at the general election.
Also speaking, the South-West Regional Commander, ANC Ayoade Adeoye, commended Bolarinwa for recognising the importance of engaging youth-oriented and community-based organisations. He expressed confidence in Adekanmbi’s candidacy and pledged support for the campaign.
In his remarks, Bolarinwa thanked the Man O’ War leadership for receiving the team and for the assurances of support extended to the Adekanmbi/Makinde campaign. He said the organisation’s decision to identify with Adekanmbi and the APM demonstrated confidence in candidates capable of providing inclusive and responsive leadership.
Bolarinwa assured Man O’ War and other youth-oriented organisations that the campaign would promote inclusivity and ensure that relevant stakeholders were carried along in the development agenda. He said the ongoing consultations were part of efforts to take youth mobilisation beyond political structures to established organisations, professional groups and community associations.
The Director of Youth Mobilisation maintained that the growing support from youth groups and organised bodies showed that the Adekanmbi/Makinde campaign was steadily building a broad-based movement ahead of 2027. He also assured the Man O’ War leadership that their support would be respected and reciprocated through meaningful engagement and inclusivity in the political and governance process.
