Makinde Assures Adelabu of Safe Return of Kidnapped Sister, Nephews
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Friday assured the immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, that the state government is working tirelessly to secure the release of his kidnapped sister and her two sons.

The governor gave the assurance during a visit to Adelabu and his family, where he sympathised with them over the abduction incident and provided updates on efforts being made by the government and security agencies to rescue the victims.
Speaking with journalists after the visit, Makinde said the purpose of his visit was to brief the former minister on the measures being taken to ensure the safe return of his sister and her children.

“You are all aware of what happened to the younger sister of my dear brother, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu. I actually came to brief him on what the government has been doing regarding that incident.
“My visit is also to let him know that by the grace of God, we will bring her and her sons back,” the governor said.

Makinde reiterated his administration’s commitment to the rescue operation, assuring the family that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of the abductees. He expressed confidence that the victims would be reunited with their loved ones safely.
The governor’s assurance comes amid intensified security operations across Oyo State following recent incidents of kidnapping and other security challenges. Authorities have maintained that the rescue of those in captivity remains a top priority.
