Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has nominated the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Dr. Olabode Taiwo Ladipo, as a commissioner-designate and forwarded his name to the Oyo State House of Assembly for confirmation.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor also approved the appointments of Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande as Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee, Hon. Isola Abiodun Adekunle as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, and Hon. Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun as Part-Time Member of the Local Government Service Commission.
According to the statement, the appointments, conveyed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD, will take effect from July 1, 2026. Governor Makinde urged the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, loyalty and commitment.
In a separate development, Governor Makinde has reappointed the Chairman and members of the Governing Council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, for another term.
Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi was reappointed as Chairman, while Hon. Johnson Oladele, Alhaji Azeem Badmus, Engr. Oyetayo Ige, Mrs. Alice Adedokun and Mr. Waziri Adekunle were also reappointed as members of the governing council.
The reappointment was contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD, and takes effect from July 1, 2026.
Governor Makinde congratulated the chairman and members on their reappointment and charged them to continue working diligently towards the growth and development of the institution.
